checked if my watch is ready for collection

came online AGAIN

my kinda typical daily routine - ennui at its best.

anyhoos, i chatted with nis on msn earlier, and she sorta reassured me that i'm still her LLF. heheh. nis is one of my bestest girl friend, and we've known each other since sec 1. that makes our friendship 10 years and still counting of course! she left singers to pursue her college degree at a tender age of 16, which was after the "O" levels. i remember crying my eyes out when i sent her off at the airport.

emails and occasional phone calls were our only forms of communication. we would update each other on the daily happenings and whatnots. i even flew over to perth to visit her and crashed over at her apartment few years back.

over the years, the phone calls ceased, and the emails got lesser and lesser. i dare say we even stopped contacting each other for a while. but even so, we still keep each other dearly in our hearts and never fail to remember the important dates like birthdays and whatnots. our conversation topics may have changed, we may be leading very different lives now, having our own little clique of friends, and everything else may have changed. but there are some things that will withstand all sorts of obstacles and become even stronger. our friendship is one such example.

now, with her masters earned, nis has carved herself a wonderful career at IBM in melbourne, earning big big bucks. and when i asked if she's obliged to work OT, she gave a very firm "NOOOOO!!!!" as if i asked her if she's ever seen a pig fly. such is life in aussie i s'ppose. slow and carefree, and full of staff welfare. lol.

well, wherever she's at, whatever she's working as, or whoever she'll eventually get married to (haha!), she'll always remain as my LLF. the one who lives at springleaf rise, the one whose brother owned 2 star tortoises, the one who always loses to me in bubble puzzle (PS1 edition), the one whose room resembles that of a princess's, the one who sang OTT's songs along with me, the one who kept boxes of letters mainly from *ahem* ET, the one who along with me hated form teacher angelina low (devil's child.. haha), the one who always assumes i'll throw my mum outta the window someday, the one who was crazy over tony and hyesung oppa and insisted that she's pregnant with their kids (whaahahha), the one who couldnt care less about her image, the one who speaks her mind all the time, the one who dragged me down the slope while rollerblading, causing that fugly scar on my right knee....

glynis sue-min lim, i love you babe! here's to our 10 years of friendship, and counting! =)
