The Goblet of Fire
was a tad disappointing for someone who's read the book at least 4 times now. a lot of important scenes and characters were left out, and the story changed quite a bit lot. in fact, the entire movie seemed pretty abrupt. it's prolly just me - scenes and characters from the other 3 movies were prolly disregarded too, but i won't know cause i didnt read the books before i watched the movies. but of course, eye-candies fred & george made up for almost everything :)
so anyways, here are some scenes & characters that went missing/ got changed, as far as i can remember (brain's not functioning very well):
scenes that went missing
1. the dursleys freaking out upon weasleys' arrival in their kitchen
2. the burrow was totally emitted
3. quidditch worldcup - they didnt show the game at all! wtf?!
4. harry losing his wand
5. winky at top seat reserving a seat for barty crouch (junior)
6. lugo bagman's bet with fred & george
7. hermione's S.P.E.W.
8. moody borrowing the mauderer's map
9. harry giving the twins his winnings from triwizard tournament
10. hermione turning rita skeeter into a beetle
scenes that went wrong
1. hermione didnt melt at the sight of krum, she was indifferent towards him!!
2. it was dobby that gave harry the gillyweed, not neville
3. dumbledore did not grab harry by the neck and attempted to strangle him! for god's sake, it's dumbledore we're talking about. hello?? knock knock. he's a gentle old, forgiving headmaster!
4. im rather disturbed by the fact that the students are rarely wearing the school robes now. why are they in muggle attires most of the time?

2. bill - how could they??
3. charlie
4. percy
5. winky
6. dobby
7. anymore?
then again, the movie was already long enough as it is. 157 minutes!! it could go on for days had they not remove certain scenes. oh wells, what a bummer. at least they could make it less abrupt for harry potter fanatics.
i thought the socerer's stone was still the best, with that other dumbledore.

people who did not read the book prolly hate the movie cause it's so confusing, whilst people who read the book prolly hate it cause it's all so wrong. i wonder if j.k. rowling is hating mike newell right now.
oh 1 mo thing. my colleague told me christians arent allowed to watch/read harry potter?! wth? i mean, eerie and supernatural stuff is understandable, but harry potter??!?!?!?! im sure it's only applicable to staunch christians, no? someone pls enlighten me..
